Corner Store Arts Center Hosts Candlelight Jam
The Corner Store Arts Center on Capitol Hill will be hosting a candlelight acoustic jam session on Saturday, 28 March, beginning at 8:00 p.m. Libations and light fare available. Location: 900 South Carolina Avenue, SE.
Hotels, Restaurants, and Lounges Celebrating Earth Hour
Fairmont Washington Hotel - Offering a candlelight dinner with organic menu and organic cocktails on the evening of Saturday, March 28
Latin Concepts Restaurant Lounges
- Participating locations are Chi Cha, Mate, Kitchen 2404, and Yaku
- All day Saturday, March 28, locations will be offering a special featured Organic Cucumber Mojito - made with Square One Organic Vodka and muddled organic cucumbers
- For each Organic Cucumber Mojito sold, Latin Concepts will donate $5 to the World Wildlife Fund
Sheraton and Westin Hotels in Reston Heights
- Offering organic menu and serving organic wines
- Turning off all non-safety lights in hotel for candlelight dining
Other participating locations include The Park at 14th (details TBD) and the Michael Romeo Group's Lotus Lounge, which will turn off its famous light wall. The Michael Romeo Group is in the process of transforming the lighting in all of its venues to LED to help conserve energy.
