Buildings Across DC to Go Dark for Earth Hour

Washington, DC will host an Earth Hour 2009 celebration like no other city in America. Only in the metropolitan region of our nation's capital can buildings situated in two states, several cities, and multiple countries go dark - all within a few square miles.

Colleges and universities, major hotels, educational institutions, government buildings, and embassies are taking part in the "black" out. The list of distinguished participants includes:
